many residents in nursing homes are very difficult to deal with. they are angry, mean, demanding, hostile, and annoying. but i find that if you’re nice to them and give them everything they need and talk them, someone to talk to is all they want.many of them beg me to stay in their rooms because they want to talk and thats all. when you get to know, you will find that they are just lonely and need a friend.many of them are ignored and nobody wants to be ignored.i’ve seen so much in five years

we are the eyes and ears of the nurses, thus the doctors. In daily care, we see the residents,pts and know what is their normal, and when something isn’t…I LOVE my job, I love caring for my residents, making a diffrence in their lives….I go into my daily job with joy for the people I’m caring for. I love my job, and I’ve just enrolled for my pre req’s for nursing school.

I can’t wait to start being a care assistant! I really hope I get the job. This seems like one of the most rewarding jobs you could do, I just want to really make a difference in someones life. God I love old people lol I just want to care for these people and make them happy.
