All I can say is being a cna is hard work. On my hall I have 16 residents that are mine but even though it is hard work I love my job. Yes their are some that are difficult to deal with but their are ppl like that at any job.. and just think someday we will all be on the other end of this.. At least when I look back I can say I did all I could for my residents to make life better for them…My biggest problem is that I get attached and let me tell you it is horrible to watch them die…

I can’t wait to start being a care assistant! I really hope I get the job. This seems like one of the most rewarding jobs you could do, I just want to really make a difference in someones life. God I love old people lol I just want to care for these people and make them happy.

we are the eyes and ears of the nurses, thus the doctors. In daily care, we see the residents,pts and know what is their normal, and when something isn’t…I LOVE my job, I love caring for my residents, making a diffrence in their lives….I go into my daily job with joy for the people I’m caring for. I love my job, and I’ve just enrolled for my pre req’s for nursing school.

many residents in nursing homes are very difficult to deal with. they are angry, mean, demanding, hostile, and annoying. but i find that if you’re nice to them and give them everything they need and talk them, someone to talk to is all they want.many of them beg me to stay in their rooms because they want to talk and thats all. when you get to know, you will find that they are just lonely and need a friend.many of them are ignored and nobody wants to be ignored.i’ve seen so much in five years
