<a href="http://www.cnanlu.com">certified nurse assistant</a>

I actually have heard of nursing assistants (we call them Special Care Aides or Continuing Care Assistants here) working as recreation aides or assistants (not directors though). Basically, you will be in charge of running the recreation activities in a long term care facility for example. It is less likely that they'd hire you as a director without formal education in that area, though.

Some places prefer to or only hire those with a diploma or certificate in therapeutic recreation/activity. Your best bet is to call around and see what they're looking for.

I have also seen a nursing assistant work as a physiotherapy aide under the direction of a physiotherapist. Again, it depends on the facility. Some places will require a separate certificate or physio aide diploma. Others will train you to work within your scope of care.

Good luck!
