Is there anybody who is a Certified Nursing Assistant?

Opie Tootie asked:

I am taking the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course at my local tech school and I was wondering if anybody is a CNA? I was wanting to know what kind of job responsibilites you would have, what they get paid on average and if a hospital you would work for would pay for tuition to get an Associates in Nursing (RN). I know this is an unusual question, but I thought I would ask.

You will do all the dirty work, that rn’s don’t have to do.and if u were on welfare you could go free or apply for a pail grant if you income at home is below a certain level ask at the school and a counselor will guide u thru it.

    certified nursing assistant

I have been a certified nursing assistant for almost 10 years, my job responsibilities are to perform or assist a client with their activities of daily living, what ever that may be for that individual. I earn a bit over $10/hr, at an assisted living facility in WA. Usually starting pay is minimum wage. Some facilities do offer to pay tuition for nursing programs, my place of employment did offer me something similar, with an agreement to work for them for a certain time period. I believe it really depends on the facility.
