It&#039;a actually called &quot;Reciprocity&quot; or may be called &quot;endorsement&quot; in some states.  Most states accept out of state licensure, but a several years ago, there were states who wouldn&#039;t accept licensure from ALL states, just some.  It depends on the educational requirements where the license was obtained.  Yes, call the CA  state board of nursing.  I did my reciprocity from MN to WI online, and actually got my license for WI  in about 2.5 weeks--that was quick, but I had been on the WI registry in 1992 so they already had info on me.</description>
